Adirondack North Stars win youth basketball tourney
The Adirondack North Stars, a 14U travel basketball team with players from Lake Placid and Saranac Lake, won the Blue and Orange Classic tournament at SUNY Potsdam this past weekend. In the back row, from left are coach David McCauley, Cooper Barry, Max Perez, Gunner Harrison and Jeremiah LaBrake. In the front row are Finn Maiore, Sean McCauley, Austin Webb-Brown and Ryder Harrison. During the tournament, the team won their bracket championship by going 4-0 at the event and holding their opponents to only 54 points, while scoring 180 themselves. The team will host their own tournament at the Olympic and Paralympic Training Center in Lake Placid on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
