Bombers close out season in Chazy

The Lake Placid girls basketball team closed out its season with a 51-23 loss to the Chazy Eagles on the road Thursday evening in the Section VII, Class D quarterfinal round.

The top seeded Eagles jumped out to an early lead 15-3 lead in the first quarter and never looked back. Emma Howell and Carly LaPierre scored 12 points each to lead Chazy.

The Eagles advanced to the semifinal round, where they will take on the Bolton Eagles.

Abbey Light paced the Blue Bombers with 10 points. Kyra Jordon had seven, Danna Perez had four and Margaret Thatcher had two. Lake Placid finished the season with a 6-16 record.
