Teams from US, Canada converge on Tri-Lakes for Adirondack Lightning Showcase baseball tournament

SARANAC LAKE — The Adirondack Lightning Showcase baseball tournament continued Friday in the Tri-Lakes with teams competing from the United States and Canada.

Games are being held from Thursday to Sunday at fields in Lake Placid, Saranac Lake and Tupper Lake.

The U12 teams were: Adirondack Lightning, Malone Jr Border Hounds, CNY Pioneers, Central Amherst, Orange Tide, Adirondack Eagles, Massena and Montreal Titans.

The U14 Tier 1 teams were: Upper Deck Titans, Watertown Thunder, Rawlings Tigers, Accelerate Gold, Accelerate Black, Malone Jr Border Hounds, Lou Gehrig Blue, Canandaigua Braves, TC Arsenal and North Colonie Bison.

The U14 Tier 2 teams were: Adirondack Lightning, Champlain Cougars Jeff Norton, Prime Prospects BA, Lou Gehrig Iron Horse, CNY Pioneers, Tug Hill Thunder, LC North Brewers, Green Mountain Catamounts, Ausable River Bandits and Montreal Titans.

The U15 teams played in two divisions:

– Islanders Division: West Genny Wildcats, Saranac Lake Mudcats, Upper Deck Grey and Cobras Baseball.

– River Pigs Division: Upper Deck Blue, CC Mariners Prep, Accelerate Elite and CNY Pioneers.

The U16 teams played in two divisions:

– Max Peterson Division: Canandaigua Braves, Montreal Titans, West Gennesee Wildcats and North Colonie Bison.

– Darrius Bomer Division: Southern Knights, Saratoga Stampede, Colchester Cannons and Trois Rivieres BlackBirds.

The U17 teams played in two divisions:

– Barrone Porter Division: Adirondack Lightning, LC North Brewers Knowles, Upper Deck Titans and Champlain Cougars.

– Jesse Izzo Division: LC North Miller, Saratoga Stampede, Accelerate Elite and Lakers.

The U19 Division teams were: Horseheads, Saratoga Blue, Adirondack Lightning, CC Mariners, Saratoga Red and Montreal Baseball Academy.

The teams in the men’s open division were: Adirondack Lightning, Adirondack Eagles, Rochester Whiz Kids and Dannemora Knights.
