Pat Stratton Ride returns on last Saturday in August

SARANAC LAKE — The 22nd running of the Pat Stratton Ride will take place on Saturday, Aug. 27 in Saranac Lake.

The event, which is named after a local plumber and cycling enthusiast, is a road cycling tour.

This year’s edition will see a few changes to the routes, but all the challenges and rewards remain the same. The three bicycle routes (22, 49 and 98 miles) will be marked as starting and ending at the Mount Pisgah parking area in Saranac Lake.

Ride start times will be staggered depending on the route. Each route is fully supported with a follow vehicle and feed stations.

Registrations and sponsorships for the event will support a wide variety of youth programs.

In addition to providing support for youth programs, the cost of registration will include a 22nd-anniversary performance sports shirt, post-ride barbecue, pies and a raffle.
