Summer ski jumping competition is Saturday

LAKE PLACID — The state Olympic Regional Development Authority will host a head-to-head summer ski jumping competition at the Olympic Jumping Complex in Lake Placid on Saturday.

The Star-Spangled Ski Jumping event will start at noon and will end around 3 p.m.

The competition will kick off around 1 p.m. on the HS 100-meter hill. The competition is for athletes and a summer jumping exhibition for spectators. The event will include music and activities for spectators.

The entry fee for the event is $20 for adults and teens 13 and up, $15 for juniors ages 7 to 12 and for seniors 65 and up, and free for children ages 6 and under. The entry fee includes access to the Skyride Experience. Entry for this event is free for ORDA SKI3 season pass holders and ORDA staff and immediate family members.
