“This race is for athletes who appreciate a challenging course with a small-town feel in a beautiful setting,” Race Director Wendy Peroza said in a statement. “Each year, we welcome participants from our local area and from across the Northeast, in addition to those who travel great distances to take part. This year, we have registered participants from Virginia, Maryland, Connecticut, Canada and even one from Texas.”
