FIS Continental Cup returns to Lake Placid

LAKE PLACID — For the first time since 2015, Lake Placid will host the International Ski Federation Continental Cup in ski jumping and Nordic combined.

The state Olympic Regional Development Authority, in partnership with USA Nordic, will host the FIS Continental Cup on Friday and Saturday at the Olympic Jumping Complex in Lake Placid for the ski jumping events and the Olympic Sports Complex for the cross-country event.

The two-day competition will include men’s Nordic combined events and the first women’s ski jumping Continental Cup held in Lake Placid.

The event will showcase some of the top ski jumpers in the United States including Lake Placid natives Nina Lussi and Tate Frantz, along with 2022 Olympian Anna Hoffman.

The men’s Nordic combined competition will feature Olympians Ben Loomis, Jared Shumate and Jasper Good.

Nordic combined events at Mount Van Hoevenberg will be free for spectators, while the ski jumping events at the Olympic Jumping Complex will require an event ticket purchase.
