Red Storm sweeps again

SARANAC LAKE — The Saranac Lake varsity volleyball continued its dominance on the court with a 3-0 win over Northern Adirondack on the road, Tuesday. The Red Storm won by scores of 25-23, 25-22 and 30-28.

Saranac Lake’s team was led by Alison Hewitt who got 33 digs en route to the team’s second win of the season. Anica Null and Alyssa LaPierre each had 20 or more digs Red Storm’s defense seemed unstoppable. Mia Sanford also helped on defense with 16 digs.

On the offensive side, Saranac Lake was led by Sydney Leeret, who had a team-high five points and 14 assists. Sanford got six kills.

Looking ahead, the Red Storm will host Ausable Valley today at 6 p.m.
