LAKE PLACID — The Lake Placid Soccer Centre will host soccer camps for the 45th year this summer.

However, there have been some adjustments from past opportunities. This year there will be no overnight camps, only day camps. Two of the clinics will be held at the North Elba Show Grounds on July 12-16 and Aug. 16-20 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Canton will also see a day camp on July 23-26 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. All camps have an age range of 8 to 18. Each camp also has half days available for the 5 to 8 age range.

The camps will utilize Coerver Coaching methods that have been used throughout the world and at the Lake Placid Soccer Centre for over 40 years.

“We are all about individual soccer skills development whether a beginner or experienced athlete,” stated Mike McGlynn one of the co-founders of LPSC. The Lake Placid Soccer Centre also works on teamwork, exercise and communication, with fun activities centered around short-sided soccer games
