LAKE PLACID — Schyler Jordon and the Lake Placid baseball team defeated Ticonderoga 10-7 in a back-and-forth game Wednesday.

It was all tied up 4-4 going into the sixth inning, but then the Lake Placid bats came alive to score six runs in the bottom of the inning. Ticonderoga tried to battle back in the seventh, scoring three runs, but it was not enough.

Jordan pitched a complete seven-inning game, striking out 10 while only walking three batters to earn a win for the Lake Placid squad. Matt Brandes, Eden Daby and Sam Hooker were Lake Placid’s top batters as they each had two hits.

The Lake Placid baseball team improves its record to 4-10 as Ticonderoga falls to 6-8 on the season. Lake Placid played its next game Thursday against AuSable Valley. The last regular season game will be hosting Saranac Lake at the horse show grounds on Monday.
