CAROGA LAKE — Grant Eckardt, a dirt bike motorcycle rider from of Saranac Lake, was one of more than 350 motocross racers in the Central New York Motocross Riders Association event Sunday at Royal Mountain Ski Area in Caroga Lake.

Eckardt, a 2019 graduate of Saranac Lake High School, took third place in the College Boy (age 17 to 24) division and fifth place in the 122-250 Expert division.

The next CNYMRA points events scheduled for Royal Mountain are set for July 3 and 4 with the final event of the Royal motocross season scheduled to take place on Aug. 8. Supercross competition will continue through the summer season on Wednesday night starting at 7 p.m.
