Hankering for a hash run

Stacey Annis, kneeling, and Nichole Meyette sprinkle flour in a parking area across the street from Mirror Lake before joining their happy group on a hash run in Lake Placid on July 11, 2006. Hash running is social and non-competitive, and the flour, or chalk, is used to create a route to follow. The runs are normally between four and six kilometers. Following their run, particpants usually meet up at a local tavern. (Enterprise file photo — Lou Reuter)
