A wave of cyclists begin their climb during the 2006 Whiteface Mountian Uphill Bike Race when the event was held on June 17 that year. At the time, the starting line was at the bottom of mountain at the four corners intersection in Wilmington and the course was completely uphill. The race has since been lengthened and begins in front of the base lodge at the Whiteface Mountain Ski Center. This year’s event was canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
