Locals go south for Stockade-athon

Edelstein, of Saranac Lake, took first place in the men’s 60- to 64-year-old division with a time of 1:03:44 and Fremante, of Lake Placid, covered the course in 1:08:27. Jared Whalen, of Keene Valley, was the first area runner to cross the line, finishing 65th overall out of 1,409 with a time of 59:08. Other finishers from Lake Placid were: Ryan Recchia (1:02:07), Elizabeth Izzo (1:03:05), Nina Armstrong (1:07:06), Anna Rissberger (1:14:01), James Langmead (1:19:23), William Izzo (1:30:11) and Marjorie Waterson (1:31:22).
