The night started off with kids running in the quarter-mile race. Next up were the half-milers and milers, followed by the adult runs of 2, 3 and 3.8 miles on the “Hilly Man” course.

The Thursday Night Fun Run series will take place every Thursday through Aug. 29. Registration opens at 5:30 p.m., followed by the runs at 6 p.m. sharp. The adult runs range between 2 and 5 miles and are held on different courses in the village each week.

The Fun Runs are organized by volunteers and sponsored by the village of Saranac Lake and the Kiwanis Club of Saranac Lake. There is no fee to participate in the fun runs. For more information, contact Andy Pickreign at capp_andy@yahoo.com or 518-524-3557.
