LAKE PLACID — The second Placid Planet bicycle time trial drew 31 riders to Lake Placid on Wednesday night, as the six-week series continued.

Races will continue for another four weeks, each Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. The series is free and open to the public. Prizes are presented to the man and woman who accumulate the most points for competing throughout the series.

The staggered start means that riders are competing only against the clock on the 8-mile round-trip course, which starts at the ski jump end of Riverside Drive. For more information, call Placid Planet at 518-523-4128.
