Time Trials series enters stretch run

LAKE PLACID — The Placid Planet Time Trials series continued on Wednesday on Riverside Drive in Lake Placid with 27 riders competing.

Organizer Kenny Boettger said going forward he’s asking riders to bring a voluntary donation of a non-perishable food item that will be donated to charity.

The series will continue for the next two Wednesdays, starting at 6:30 p.m. The series is free and open to the public. Prizes are presented to the man and woman who accumulate the most points for competing throughout the series.

The staggered start means that riders are competing only against the clock on the 8-mile round-trip course, which starts at the ski jump end of Riverside Drive.
