LAKE PLACID — The Lake Placid girls basketball team fell 30-22 to Johnsburg in a game that a Blue Bombers’ opponent etched her way into Section VII history.

Khaleah Cleveland scored 20 points to lead Johnsburg on a night where she surpassed the 1,000-point plateau for her high school varsity career. Cleveland needed nine points to reach that level heading into the game, and drained a three-pointer midway through the second quarter to achieve the feat.

Johnsburg held a 15-10 edge at halftime and stretched the lead to 24-12 entering the fourth quarter.

Deidra Kellerman paced Lake Placid with 10 points and Grace Crawford chipped in five points in the loss.
