Balanced attack carries Blue Bombers to victory

LAKE PLACID — The Lake Placid boys basketball team built a comfortable cushion in the first half and kept it going in the second Monday on the way to a 61-34 victory over Minerva-Newcomb.

The Blue Bombers used a balanced offensive attack to take command of the game. Jearanut Tantitanomwong led the team in scoring with 18 points, followed by Jacob Novick with 12 points, Jesse Izzo with 11 and Jake Coursen with 10.

Tantitanomwong drained four 3-pointers and Izzo hit three.

Lake Placid took a 35-18 lead into the locker room at halftime and maintained the advantage throughout the second half.

It was the second win in a row for the Blue Bombers, who downed Elizabethtown 59-37 on Saturday. Izzo paced Lake Placid in scoring with 12 points in that game, while Novick scored 11.
