The Saranac Lake boys ran away with the Class C state team title last week at the NYSPHSAA Cross Country Championships at Sunken Meadow State Park in Kings Park, Long Island.

The state championship team was made up of James Catania (ninth overall), Anderson Gray (12th), Peter Fogarty (14th), Micah McCulley (19th), Andrew Fogarty (28th), Jacob Alberga (40th) and Tucker Jakobe (68th). The Red Storm outscored second-place Westhill 31-83.

The Saranac Lake girls, and Lake Placid boys and girls teams were also in action on the course that was distiguished by a very large hill known as Cardiac Hill.
