The Adirondack 46ers Hockey Club brought home a championship in dramatic fashion during a tournament in Chambly, Quebec last weekend.

In Sunday’s title matchup against the St. John’s (Newfoundland) Caps, the 46ers got two goals from Ryan Bartholomew of Saranac Lake and ended regulation in a 2-2 tie.

When five minutes of overtime 4-on-4 failed to yield a winner, the game went to a shootout.

Chase Carriero of Malone ended the nine-round stalemate when he buried the puck between the Caps goalie’s pads for the victory.

The 46ers, which includes kids from Saranac Lake, Malone, Potsdam and Plattsburgh, went 3-1 in the tournament.

Goaltender Scottie Nicholas of Saranac Lake was named as the tournament’s most valuable player.
