Bullock hat trick leads SLP
OSWEGO — Lydia Bullock had three goals and two assists Saturday to lead the Saranac Lake Placid girls hockey team to a 5-3 victory over Oswego.
Bullock scored two unassisted goals in the second period to give SLP a 4-1 advantage. Oswego’s Hannah Koster reduced the deficit to 4-2 at the 9:32 mark of the period, but Bullock responded with her third goal on a pass from Faith Fell at 10:53 of the second that gave SLP control of the game.
Lea Hill scored SLP’s first goal then assisted on Tess Stanton’s goal later in the period as SLP took a 2-0 lead into the second period.
Oswego outshot SLP 39-25, but SLP goaltender Whitney Battistoni had a strong game in net with 36 saves.
SLP returns to action Wednesday on the road against Potsdam.
