The best team for a better Harrietstown
To the editor:
Please join me in supporting Jordanna Mallach for Harrietstown supervisor, and Tracey Schrader and Doug Haney for town council. They represent the best team to keep Harrietstown moving forward.
I have served on the town board with Jordanna and Tracey for the last two years. Together we’ve worked to keep taxes in check, increase transparency in town operations and finances, improve town parks, invest in the airport and start the difficult work of addressing the housing crisis. Even though we occasionally disagree on some issues, they always treat me with respect. This kind of leadership matters and makes work with the town board and staff rewarding, even when the topics and problems are difficult.
Jordanna has redefined the role of town supervisor. She is always working on ways to improve the operations of town government and has shown vision and leadership to improve parks and revitalize the airport terminal by securing millions of dollars in state funding for the town.
Tracey is a long-time resident, small-business owner and former school board member who brings valuable perspective and experience with budgeting, workforce and the needs of families.
I am looking forward to working with Doug. He is a small business owner who chose to make Harrietstown his home over 20 years ago. He understands the challenges that residents and taxpayers face, but he also sees a bright future ahead for our community.
Like so many people who feel the call to run for elected office, Jordanna, Tracey and Doug all volunteer and give back to the community in a variety of ways and want to serve on the town council to make life better for Harrietstown residents.
This team of candidates brings complementary strengths, dedication and positive vision to Harrietstown. Together, they’re ready to continue the important work we’ve started.
Please join me in supporting these three exceptional candidates on Nov. 4.
