To the editor:

The first-grade teachers and students at Lake Placid Elementary School would like to extend a very special thank you to the Lake Placid Ed Op Fund. Our students had an amazing experience at Banker’s Orchard thanks to their generosity and support. Students had a great time riding on the tractor, enjoyed picking apples and pumpkins and feeding the animals. This was a great culmination for our first-grade unit on fall and students were able to experience the true essence of harvesting, plant life cycles and the components of fall. A very special thank you to the Ed Op Fund for supporting this special day for our students.
