Republicans: Keep up the good work
To the Editor:
The recent election, both on a local level and throughout the country, seems to indicate that the current direction isn’t working. We, the people, need to reassert our control and wrestle our rights back from our wannabe king and his court. We could hope that the message was received and the direction would be reprogrammed and some sanity would start to show up in the Republican talking points.
Alas, that appears wishful, the Monday night quarterbacking by the Republican leaders seems to be going for it on fourth and 17 on the 50. The results were expected blues states, blah, blah, blah. Let’s take the nuclear option and they’ll never win again. What would be best for the country would be for the party in power to assess the results and start to reach out and negotiate in good faith to help us all. However, as unlikely as that appears to be, the energy level of the opposition will then only keep ramping up. More protests, more lawsuits, more donations, more resistance, more quality candidates, more facts and then more victories. So cynically, I ask the Republicans to keep up the good work. We’re counting on you! Signed by a radical, socialistic, communist, left-wing lunatic who remains crazy, my best to you all.
