We don’t need another negative voice in Albany
To the editor:
As many of us living in the 115th NYS Assembly District have been inundated with those campaign cards in our mail, I’ve taken a moment to look them over.
One of the candidate’s campaign cards is full of negative rhetoric and what he opposes, not much in specifics on what he would actually do as the new assemblyman, and he has lots of negative (unfounded) references to his opponent and Albany in general.
On the other hand, Michael Cashman references his past experience and gives specific details of what he will do and he never makes mention of his opponent … and he’s endorsed by the previous two 115th Assembly members, one a Republican and the other a Democrat.
In today’s world, the last thing we need in Albany is another angry MAGA-type — we need someone with experience to work positively and proactively and not divisively. As I head to the polls this Election Day, I want to know what someone will bring to the table that will help us in the North Country.
Considering just those campaign cards alone, I know who I’m not going to vote for, and so I’m much more inclined to cast my vote for Michael Cashman.
