To the editor:

I am writing in support of Doug Haney. I have known Doug for more than 22 years, and in that time, I’ve enjoyed him as both a friend and a colleague on various projects. I have experienced his work ethic and his integrity. Doug listens. He actively engages in conversation and really wants to hear their points of view and ideas. He’s a problem solver. He knows that the more we all participate, the more we all learn and the more we can find the best solution. And that’s what Doug is always looking for: The best solution. He is fair, honest, and a tremendously hard worker. He is calm, prompt and always well prepared. Doug appreciates the value of every person he works with and the value of their knowledge and time. And, he will bring to the council his experience, diligence, imagination and energy.

I currently live in North Elba, but come November, I’ll be a resident of Harrietstown. I can’t think of anyone I want working on my behalf and for the good of the town of Harrietstown than Doug Haney. We’ll be lucky to have him.
