Critical votes for Harrietstown and state offices
To the editor:
Vote for Michael Cashman for New York State Assembly. He has received strong endorsements from outgoing Assemblyman Billy Jones and former Republican Assemblywoman Janet Duprey. Why? Because he has a wealth of experience and a record of accomplishments benefiting the North Country. From working-class roots, educated at SUNY Plattsburgh, he is the current supervisor for the town of Plattsburgh. He was chosen by his peers as vice president of the Adirondack Association of Towns and Villages Executive Committee. Serving on the ALICE Committee of United Way of the Adirondacks demonstrates his commitment to helping working people. More than ever, families struggle with affordability. Cashman will work to expand affordable childcare, fight rate hikes on utilities, prioritize housing affordability and support small businesses by cutting red tape. He will fight to protect rural healthcare and Medicaid access. Cashman is an experienced leader who believes we’re strongest when we work together and have each other’s backs.
Doug Haney chose this community as a young man; now a successful businessman, raising his children here. I have direct experience with Doug’s professional talents and can attest to his work ethic, quality and service. Doug’s passion is for Harrietstown to flourish and the crucial aspect of this is affordable housing. Doug is diligent, cooperative and creative. He will be an extraordinary asset on the Harrietstown Council.
Re-elect Tracee Schraeder to the Harrietstown Council. She is always prepared, researches issues, considers all viewpoints and works well as a team. She is simply a hard-working councilwoman, dedicated to her community.
