So-called ‘peaceful’ assembly
To the editor:
I was shocked to see the picture on the front page of the July 18 Adirondack Daily Enterprise under the headline: “Village board tables peaceful assembly law.”
Peaceful? Really, peaceful? I see fear mongering and pure hatred in those signs.
I don’t think we need people coming into this community stirring up division and violence.
The board of trustees for Lake Placid is a very intelligent, competent body. Freedom of speech is denied when it is not used responsibly. I’m hopeful the board of trustees will not be intimidated.
