To the editor:

Today I am going to tell you about Lake Placid Elementary School. I just graduated from fifth grade and lots of students are sad to say goodbye when elementary school ends. I know I am.

Every time I walked into the school, it brought me joy. All the teachers and staff work very hard to make each day full of excitement and learning. I used to be a very shy person, but the staff and teachers helped me overcome my shyness. I learned to love art, music, science, history, reading and even math! I joined the newspaper club and I hope to one day be a counselor and an author because of all I learned at Lake Placid Elementary.

I would like to thank all of these wonderful teachers and staff who helped get me ready for middle school: Mrs. Uliva, Mrs. Mihill, Mrs. Colby, Mrs. Damp, Mrs. Kramer, Mrs. Smith, Mr. Fremante, Mrs. Maorica, Mrs. Haney, Mr. Fenton, Mrs. Coffin, Mrs. Phileon, Mr. Leon, Ms. Patinella, Mrs. Brown, Mrs. Frazer, Mrs. Tremblay, Mrs. Fox, Mr. Wright, all the staff at the LPES After School Program, and last but not least, Mrs. Megliore.

I will miss this school very much.
