On July 28, the USLA Scholarship Fund, which awards annual scholarships to deserving Saranac Lake and Tupper Lake High School seniors held its sixth annual golf tournament fundraiser at the Saranac Inn Golf Club. An enthusiastic group of over 90 golfers, there to support area students competed for prizes in Mens, Ladies and Mixed Divisions on a beautiful Adirondack Summer day.

Congratulations to the winning teams: Men’s: Kurt Sturgeon, Carter Sturgeon, Sean Cassidy and Pat McHugh; Ladies: Kate Hale, Kathy Rapp, Kathleen Forlenza and Sandy Otten; Mixed: Charlotte Mehrtens, Philip Kokotailo, Tom and Lynn Meldrim. Closest to the pin winners were Kate Hale for the Ladies and Eric Kuhn for the men. Additional prizes were also awarded to 2nd place in each category with total prizes of about $4000.
