The choice is clear

To the editor:

Next year, we New Yorkers will vote for local positions, like town clerk, town board, etc. We will choose people who will have a very real effect on our lives.

Just suppose that someone is running for a position in your town who is powerful and wealthy. Perhaps worth billions.

Perhaps he has created an empire that included an array of businesses. Some of these many businesses failed. Thirteen to be exact. In addition, five other businesses went bankrupt. Many of the names we know: Trump Castle & Casino, Trump University, Trump Vodka, Trump Steaks, etc. The list goes on as does the list of thousands of people who went bankrupt or suffered hardship. Many of the people who did business with him, jacked up their prices, because they knew he would cheat them. Others, who were trusting, didn’t and they paid the price.

Trump has been convicted of assaulting women. He paid millions of dollars for his indiscretions. He has had a habit of demeaning and belittling women.

This year he was convicted on 34 felony accounts in New York state. Twelve jurors were convinced he lied, cheated and stole. He has three other felony cases pending which are even more severe than his fraud conviction.

Should he decide to run for town board or supervisor in any town in New York state, he would not be allowed that opportunity. New State decided that convicted felons cannot hold office in our state.

Yet. Somehow this criminal can run for the highest office in the land. God help us!

PS: Dow Jones, $43,077 today vs $19,678 four years ago. Unemployment, 4.1% vs 6.7%. Employment, 161 million vs 123 million. Our infrastructure rebuilt like never before. And so much more. Don’t forget the Trump virus — “hoax, over in two weeks” and over 1,200,000 Americans died, in large part due to his ineptness. The choice is clear.

Starting at $4.75/week.
