It’s the most wonderful time of year: March Madness! And just in time for all of the excitement of the NCAA national championships for women’s and men’s basketball, it is also open registration time for a newly established girls travel basketball team: The Tri-Lakes Yetis!

The Tri-Lakes Yetis basketball team is about offering local female athletes an opportunity to grow their games, build friendships, and learn life lessons. If your daughter has a love for basketball and there is ice in her veins, then maybe she’s ready to be a Yeti! Come join us!

Registration is open to girls in third through sixth grade in the Tri-Lakes area and surrounding communities. Practices begin April 18 and run through June 22 at the Saranac Lake Middle School gym. Practices will be twice per week, including a Tuesday or Thursday practice and a Saturday practice. Participants receive official uniforms, warm-up hoodie and an officially licensed NCAA women’s basketball. Tournament/games will take place in the summer at mutually agreed upon times with participants’ families.

With generous sponsorship donations from several local businesses, including Bing Bang Boom, Bitters and Bones, Can-AM Rugby, Rock Solid Patios, Say Real Estate and the SL Hot House, we are able to offer scholarships and meet the needs of all interested families.
