Thanks for supporting the Bloomingdale Boot Scoot

To the editor:

The St. Armand Veterans Memorial Park Task Force hosted The Bloomingdale Boot Scoot ‘n Boogie, Buffet and Dance on March 25, 2023. We would like to send out a huge “thank you” to everyone that attended the event and made it a great success!

A big event like this takes a lot of preparation, planning, time and effort. We could not have hosted this event without the help of a lot of people.

Huge thanks goes out to: Frank and Donna Whitelaw, Smokey’s BBQ 9-1-1 for the food, Frank Whitelaw and Donna Fortune for their musical performance and Tiger Whitelaw for providing the music and lighting for the event, the Bloomingdale Volunteer Fire Department and Auxiliary for the space, Karl and Rebecca Law for help with the decorations, Nancy Heath, Scott’s Florist, Dina Garvey and Robert S. Mathers for auction items, Jim Norcross for help with the gas stove, Judy Steinberg and Dick Hurteau for volunteering at the event, John Lewis for donating the 50/50 back to the Veterans Memorial Park Task Force, and Sheridan Swinyer for building and donating the awesome set of corn hole boards that were the door prize! And finally, a huge thank you to Deb Gouge and Dean Leclaire for providing Line Dance lessons at the event and making it so much fun!

It was amazing to have the locals and visitors from Tupper Lake, AuSable Forks, Chazy, Plattsburgh and Peru join us at the Boot Scoot!

This fundraiser was held to build a new Veterans Memorial at Veterans Memorial Park, 1688 state Route 3, Bloomingdale.

Thank you for your support!

Best regards,

Justyna Babcock, Mick Changelo, Cheri Fisher, Joe Fisher, Nancy Hurteau, Kate Lynch Lewis, Warrene McCarthy, Donna Whitelaw and Davina Winemiller
