Come to the Saranac Lake Winter Carnival Rotary Show!

To the editor:

You might ask yourself, as you consider all the Winter Carnival events in Saranac Lake to choose from, why would you should go to the Rotary Show? It might help to know that it’s an annual event that has been produced locally for decades. That it’s based on the vaudeville tradition of a variety of separate, unrelated acts with a grand finale performed by the Rotary Dancers. That the content and costumes of that final act are kept tightly under wraps even from the Rotary Club president. And that a great deal of thought, decision-making and yes, even practice goes into pulling it off. But the best reason to go to the Rotary Show is because all of the proceeds from the evening go directly back into this community — from the youth to the seniors and many non-profit organizations.

So join the Rotarians Friday, Feb. 10 at the Harrietstown Town Hall to have lots of fun while following another Rotarian tradition of “service above self.” Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Show begins at 7:30 p.m. Tickets on sale at several venues, Ampersound, NBT Bank and the Saranac Lake Area Chamber of Commerce at the Harrietstown Hall in Saranac Lake. Tickets are also sold online at www.saranaclakerotary.org/rotary-show,

The show generally sells out, so don’t delay, get your tickets soon.
