Bloomingdale Block Party returns Aug. 20

To the editor:

The St. Armand Youth Task Force is hosting the Bloomingdale Block Party on Saturday, Aug. 20 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. We will have carnival games, food, a beer tent, pull tabs, an Adirondack Idol contest, magic show, balloon sculpting, characters and live music!

Booth spaces are available, $25 for a non-electric booth space and $40 for an electric booth space. We are seeking local not-for-profits who would like to host a carnival game or food booth to join us and fundraise for your organization!

We are also looking for craft vendors and food trucks. Please call 518-637-9185 for an application.

New this year is the Corn Hole Tournament! The tournament will start at noon and will be held in the beer tent. There is a $40 entrance fee per team, due on the day of the event. First prize is based on a 50/50 split of the entrance fees! To sign up for the Corn Hole Tournament, please call 518-637-9185.

The St. Armand Youth Task Force is holding the Bloomingdale Block Party as a fundraiser for a new ice hockey rink, basketball court, street hockey rink, snack bar addition to the Youth Building and a pavilion with seating. All of these improvements will be made to the Youth Field, 15 Roosevelt Lane, Bloomingdale.

We are truly grateful and appreciative of your support!

Best regards,

The St. Armand Youth Task Force: Davina Winemiller, Brenda Darrah, Aleacia Landon, Diane Burman, Vanessa Columbe, Erin Cass, Meg Oliver, Darcey Burman, Josh Woodruff, Tim Woodruff, Dayna Whitson
