Williams ‘leads by example’

To the editor:

As a lifelong Democrat, I’m proud to be casting my vote for Jimmy Williams. Since we were kids, I’ve admired him for his honesty, fearlessness, and his commitment to always do the right thing.

Jimmy leads by example. After high school, he moved to California to work and travel before attending college. Often, such plans don’t pan out. But when Jimmy says he’ll do something, he does it. He traveled the world, worked various jobs, then graduated from U.C. Berkeley. After college, he joined the Navy and became a SEAL. Seeing Jimmy fearlessly pursue his goals — then achieve them — inspired me to keep chasing my own.

While he was leading elite military units across the world, he said he eventually planned to move home. Of course, that’s exactly what he did. Now, as the owner of two local businesses, he has become all too familiar with challenges of executing local projects. While village officials have given him cause to pull out his hair, he has navigated various setbacks with gentlemanly professionalism, and he continues to push his projects across the finish line. This is the only way he knows. Instead of quitting or complaining, he’s running for mayor to repair the strained relationship between locals and our local government.

In recent weeks, many respected Saranac Lakers from across the political spectrum have extolled the virtues of Jimmy. Let’s take heed of these diverse, enthusiastic endorsements. Vote for Jimmy Williams on Tuesday!
