To the editor:

As I prepare to begin my term as supervisor of the town of North Elba, first a most humble and respectful thanks to those voters who supported me. I am grateful for your confidence! I vow continued dedicated service to the whole region, just as I have for the past 20 years.

I firmly believe that a good leader is not merely a “boss,” but a member of the team, giving and taking direction and advice as it best serves the constituents. Our town board members and employees have areas of expertise that will ensure the continued success of North Elba, and I look forward and will depend on their input.

I look forward to being an active member at county levels as well, bringing the same energy to the table as town issues.

Lastly, I am proud to be a small part of keeping our home both beautiful and sustainable! It’s a hard line to draw in the sand, environment and its beauty, alongside the fiscal responsibility to keep roads safe, businesses secure, housing available, taxes affordable – on and on.
