Sheriff endorses Crawford for county judge

To the editor:

While many of us have begun to turn our attention to the governor’s election next year, I would like to take a moment to highlight this year’s election and in particular a local candidate that has been working 24 hours a day, seven days a week since announcing her run for county court judge. Elizabeth Crawford has been crisscrossing Franklin County in an effort to introduce herself and speak with voters about their problems and concerns.

As a county official, I was refreshed to see a candidate for county judge have such an interest in local matters. Our judge needs to know the issues that have the greatest impact on our community. It is impressive to see her at so many local events and personally going door to door taking the time to listen to so many people. Elizabeth was born and raised right here in the North Country and remained here to raise her family and serve our community. Her qualifications to be our county judge are extensive and include her experience as an assistant district attorney and principal court attorney for the sitting family court judge. I feel strongly that our county court judge needs to hold our values when it comes to dispensing justice and upholding our laws. Elizabeth is the one candidate that shares our views on what concerns us most. She has proven to be thoughtful, inquisitive and most of all fair when making decisions. These are exactly the attributes we need in our judge.

I remind you that county court judge is a 10 year term and your decision will have a long term effect on Franklin County. That is why I am endorsing Elizabeth Crawford for Franklin County court judge. Franklin County needs a judge that knows our concerns and will make fair and honest decisions that will be in our best interest. Please join me in electing Elizabeth Crawford for Franklin County judge.
