Schrader is ‘all in’

To the editor:

I am writing to urge you to vote for the reelection of Tracey Schrader to the Harrietstown Council.

Based on my experience as a village trustee, it takes time to settle into a position and to understand the issues and challenges that even our small municipalities have to deal with on a day-to-day basis. From day one, Tracey has been “ALL IN.” She is a worker. She shows up, she educates herself about the issues at hand, gets things done and cares deeply about our community and making it a better place to live.

As an example, Tracey has been working with both the Lake Colby and Lake Clear associations to ensure that our waterways and water supplies are safe and usable for generations to come. Lake Colby is fighting milfoil and some Lake Clear residents have contaminated well water from road salt, an issue that Tracey and (Assemblyman) Billy Jones have been working on together to solve.

I can also attest to how responsive Tracey is to requests for help. In my role as a board member for the Tri-Lakes Humane Society, there have been several times over the last three years that TLHS needed help with contract-related matters and Tracey always came through for us. And it was Tracey who reached out directly to us a few years ago when she noticed that the shelter was looking a bit shabby and asked how she and her husband Randy could assist us to get things fixed up. This led to new siding and a host of other important repairs.

I know that Tracey wants very much to have the chance to continue the good work she’s started and I hope you’ll give her that chance.

Respectfully,

Melinda Little
