To the editor:

For the past 18 months, St. Agnes School has paid close attention to the evolving guidance from New York state’s departments of Health and Education and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention regarding COVID-19, and we are pleased to have operated safely and continuously this year. With the wonderful support of our parents, parishioners and friends, we were able to create smaller learning cohorts, reduce student-staff ratios, convert our gym into three well-equipped classrooms, and invest in learning technology, building upgrades and safety equipment. All of this was done with a keen eye focused on the continuity of the student experience in all grades and a commitment to maintaining their sense of normalcy.

While we were unable to celebrate this success with a live spring gala this year, we did hold a successful online auction, thanks to the commitment of local businesses. We wish to extend our great appreciation for their generosity and wonderful support of the youngest learners in our community.
