To the editor:

Thank you, Peter Crowley, Brendan Keough, Ken McLaughlin and the Adirondack Daily Enterprise for the “Easy on the ice” article. When renting a room in a home across from Lake Flower, the landlord was very clear to “never go on the ice!” That message must not have been communicated to the person who fell through the ice near Riverside Park several years ago.

Hopefully the village, Regional OIffice of Sustainable Tourism, state Deprtment of Environmental Conservation, chamber of commerce, hotels/lodging and winter events will work together to produce educational and aesthetically pleasing signs and videos that can be posted at the Lake Flower boat launch, upon check-in and on the many websites, etc., inviting people to come visit and recreate safely and responsibly during the winter.
