To the editor:

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the center has been closed for in-person meals and activities! The food and bread distribution on Mondays and Tuesdays, and Meals on Wheels (thanks to our delivery volunteers) are still running and serving the community. The Adult Center’s board members are working very hard on plans for an opening in the near future.

We have recently donated our old bus to the Franklin-Essex-Hamilton Board of Cooperative Educational Services. This donation is for the Automotive Technology Program at the Adirondack Educational Center in Saranac Lake. This will add another area of learning for the students and open up a whole new job area for them. How lucky we are to live in Saranac Lake a community that understands the importance of giving back and working together.
