Stefanik said what?

To the editor:

I am disappointed beyond belief that a representative of NY-21 would say she plans to vote against a duly elected president. By stating she is committed to elections being “free, fair, secure and according to the United States Constitution,” she ought to be confirming the results of the election that was free, fair, secure and according to the Constitution. Instead she is siding with the delusions of an exiting president and the conspiracy theories he espouses.

It was hard enough to read earlier that Stefanik had signed on to the spurious lawsuit that Trump tried to bring before the Supreme Court. She has sunk completely into the Trump cult, which is divisive to our country and toxic to our democracy. If she truly cares about the Constitution, she would not support the criminal who usurped the White House and wants to rule by force, but would instead support the people she represents.

If, indeed, she will not speak with North Country reporters, she is reinforcing her entrenchment in a conspiratorial cult, which I hope she wakes up to before she totally ruins her reputation as a congressional representative on the wrong side of history.
