To the editor:

Bravo! Bravo! Bravo! for an editorial (“Swift justice needed to save America,” Jan. 8) that didn’t back away from the hard truths that so many Donald Trump supporters wish to ignore. You write so well. It’s factual, conversational, authentic, organized. And so timely to hear a voice of reason during these tumultuous times. Recognition of the truth must come before any problems can be rectified. And our country definitely needs to address the ways that we can heal and come together after the shocking display at the Capitol. Thank you for not turning a blind eye to the forces that seek to divide our country. I admire your skills and integrity as the editor of a newspaper that faithfully serves the community.
