Davis impressed Tupper Lake voters
To the editor:
Recently, the voters of Tupper Lake had the opportunity to meet with Kimberly Davis. We found her to be a well-spoken, college-educated candidate for the New York State Senate seat vacated by Betty Little.
Among Kimberly’s many qualifications, she has served as the Clinton County treasurer since 2014. To me, this means she is not afraid to deal with “the money stuff.” She undertook a refinance of bonds so that the taxpayers could save $2 million. It gave my heart great joy to see a public official effectively acting to save taxpayers money instead of taking the easy way out and raising taxes. I do hope she can do something about property taxes, which are killing New York state.
