To the editor:

I would like to point out the respect I have for the manager, assistant managers and all employees at our local Tops supermarket In Saranac Lake. The front-line staff of this store has been very professional and very busy. Every time I have gone into the store they are working non-stop restocking shelves as soon as trucks deliver the items, and when you can’t find something and ask a question, they will go out of their way to help you find it with a smile and professionalism. So this is one of those jobs.

Just because you go into the store and they are out of toilet paper, it’s not the employees’ fault, not the truck drivers’ fault. They are doing the best that they can for us with what they have to work with, and they continue do it with a smile. So remember, it’s not their fault when you cannot find what you want, but make certain you give these people the respect they deserve. They are busting their humps for us.

To the employees of Tops, I and my family thank you for what you are doing for the residents of our area. It does not go unnoticed.
