To the editor:

I’m writing this letter to express my horror at the type of political slander that the general manager Mr. Dave Andrews is using the public airwaves at WIRY radio in Plattsburgh for. His personal commentary show, “I Was Just Thinking,” this previous week directed that we doubt and fear what he calls the “liberal” mainstream media.

Mr. Andrews feels compelled, at a time of national fear and confusion concerning the coronavirus, to take a shot at ABC, NBC, CBS and MSNBC over those media networks’ coverage of national events because they didn’t extoll his president as accurately as Fox.

This individual and his cohorts have captured Clinton County’s public airwaves to promote their far-to-the-right conservative views.

By using the public airways to seed doubt and fear of our mainstream media WIRY radio brings us all one goose step closer to fascism.
