I got a hunch

To the editor:

Last week the president told us, based upon no expert support, the coronavirus would be gone by spring. Unsurprisingly to fact-checkers, this was contrary to all expert analysis, and the stock market tanked in response.

This week, based upon a “hunch,” he ruminated that those virus sufferers who are only mildly symptomatic might go back to work in the course of recovering.

Once again, the health care experts in the know point out how absurd this advice is. Suggesting those sufferers might go back to work while they convalescence ignores that this would likely risk spread of infection to co-workers.

This man is the leader who boundlessly spreads mindless pronouncements.

Should he be given further opportunity to derail the heath and welfare of the country another four years?
