Animal animus
To the editor:
I’d like to propose a new rule for the Winter Carnival parade: If it’s too cold for the Shriners to get out of their van, we shouldn’t have domestic animals paraded down Main Street. I’ve seen enough shivering horses and terrified goats having to be dragged through the parade over the years where it’s become too predictable a thing. They add nothing to the parade, and it’s really a shame people keep relying them on accessories to pep up their subpar parade entries. They, and those lining Main Street, deserve better.
